File Rename Utils

My main box was recently upgraded to Fedora 7, without any real issues. On the FreeBSD front, I haven't upgraded in ages (and am still with 5.3), though still gave the Trash changes a quick test.

File rename utils are powerful bash utilities that enable various file renaming actions, and more.

These include file name conversions -

• Lowercase , uppercase and other trivial file renames.
• Character search and replace with sed and tr
• Renaming files numerically.

• Trash can (Gnome and KDE < 3.4 - compatible)
• KTrash (KDE >= 3.4 - compatible)
• Fromto - a string fetch and replace utility
• Swap
• Htmlrename
